Initial Assessments
The initial assessment is conducted by a BCBA to develop a treatment plan that is unique to your child and includes all treatment recommendations and goals.
In order to conduct the assessment, the BCBA will meet with the child’s caregivers for an interview to collect background information about the child, concerning behaviors and skills to learn. Behavioral assessment involves a variety of methods including direct observations, interviews, checklists, and tests to identify and define targets for behavior change. (Cooper, Heron, & Heward, 2014).
Direct Therapy Service
ABA treatment focuses on family life through the unique treatment plans helping to increase desire behaviors and skills on your child.
The ABA therapist and Analyst assigned to your child will continuously monitor and adjust plan goals to meet your child’s needs to improve attention, imitation, learning, social skills, independent life skills and motivation. The main goal is to include the life long skills and support the child, the parents, caregivers and the family. The ABA staff will continue evaluate your child’s needs, goals, and progress to ensure the most effective method and treatment.

The Reassessment
The reassessment process provides an opportunity to thoroughly review a client’s development over time, highlighting achievements and obstacles encountered.
This comprehensive evaluation reflects on the client’s journey and assesses the effectiveness of the case management activities conducted in the previous six months. While this formal reassessment takes place biannually, clinicians are actively engaged in monitoring and evaluating the child’s progress and evolving needs on a daily basis, ensuring that support remains tailored and responsive.
Developmental Evaluations
Children under six rapidly develop and change, making early intervention a key to future school success.
Pre-academic skills, social competence, and self-regulation greatly influence school success. A Developmental Evaluation helps parents identify their child’s strengths and weaknesses, guiding necessary interventions. Conducted by a Florida Certified and Licensed School Psychologist, the assessment includes a comprehensive evaluation with a written report detailing test scores, strengths, weaknesses, concerns, applicable diagnoses, and recommendations. Bilingual and nonverbal testing options are available.

Gifted Evaluations
A Florida Certified and Licensed School Psychologist administers Gifted evaluations for children aged four years, seven months, and older.
A Gifted Evaluation includes a measure of intellectual functioning. School district requirements vary from county to county. When applicable, an extent of essential reading and math skills can be administered in English and/or in Spanish. A report written in accordance with school district requirements will be provided to the parent.
